Canadian Car of the Year Finalists Announced by AJAC

The Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) has revealed their votes for the 2012 Canadian Car of the Year and Utility Vehicle of the Year.
The 2012 finalists won their categories at Test Fest in October. Test Fest is a gathering of Canadian journalists in an airport facility in Niagara-on-the-Lake to test and vote on 57 cars after rigorous road, track, and off-road sampling.The finalists for Canadian Car of the Year are the Hyundai Elantra, Kia Optima, and Hyundai Accent. The finalists for Utility Vehicle of the Year are the Dodge Journey, BMW X3, and the Volkswagen Touareg TDI Clean Diesel.
There is also an award for best design and those finalists are the Range Rover Evoque, Hyundai Veloster, and the Jaguar XKR-S.
The winners will be announced at the Canadian International AutoShow in Toronto on February 16.
