The second-generation Nissan Rogue was scheduled to be released in late 2013 and now that’s been confirmed from a tease photo. The photo was accompanied by one-line that states, “The all-new 2014 Nissan Rogue will push the envelope of CUV design starting on September 10.”
September 10th falls in line with the starting date of the Frankfurt Motor Show, where many new reveals and debuts are expected including the Infiniti Q30, the Chevrolet Camaro Convertible, the Volkswagen Golf R, the Toyota Yaris Hybrid-R, the Ferrari 458 Speciale, and many others.
The Nissan Rogue hasn’t been the most exciting crossover, but it has been an affordable, quality product for the Nissan brand and by far its strongest SUV seller. You cannot tell much from the picture except for new LED headlights, but we hope that’s a start to a modern and sleek new Rogue to go along with its value pricing.
The current Rogue has a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine that produces 170 hp and 175 lb.-ft. of torque. The Rogue is praised for its smooth ride and comfortable interior, but has its critics due to its continuously variable transmission (CVT).
It will all be revealed come September 10th at the Frankfurt Motor Show and we will keep you posted as the news comes out.
