Here at The Driver, we've decided to go through a series of real-life fuel economy tests. In this episode, Rishi Rajan takes out the subcompact 2015 Toyota Yaris for a week. In the end, we discover how much money is needed to fill the entire tank and how many kilometres it took to get to empty (ended up being around 415). For your reference point, the 2015 Toyota Yaris rates at 7.8L/100 km in the city and 6.6L/100 km on the highway. For this test, Rishi managed to achieve 8.3L/100 km under combined highway and city driving.
