In an announcement made today, Nissan has lowered its starting price for the 2016 370Z. Its flagship sports offering will now start at the low price of $29,998. This new pricing update has reduced the starting offering by an even $10,000.
The $29,998 vehicle will be a new base Coupe Enthusiast Edition that will come with the same 332-hp 3.7-litre V6 engine that's found in the previous base – the Touring Coupe. It will only be offered in the six-speed manual transmission with Rev matching downshifts. The only choice with the seven-speed automatic transmission in Canada remains the third-tier Touring Sport Coupe.
The Coupe Enthusiast Edition will possess 18-inch styled alloy wheels, bi-functional Xenon headlights, black woven carbon seat cloth, and an independent double wishbone front, multi-link rear, sport tuned suspension.
All other pricing for the three other Coupe trims (Touring, Touring Sport and Nismo) stay the same, but Nissan is hoping that a lower starting price to an already reasonable sports car offering will bring the 370Z into many more buying conversations. It's important to note that the Z brand hasn't been this attainable since the 1980s.
