Professional soccer player David Beckham will be joining Jaguar as a brand ambassador for China. Beckham will be featured in a series of TV commercials and print ads exclusively in China.
The British automaker’s latest model to hit production, The F-type Coupe, will be the first model to get Beckham’s official backing. Also, there are plans to promote the XJ saloon as well.
Beckham said he has always been a fan of Jaguar. “From the styling and design to the feel and roar of the engine, every element feels uniquely British – It’s an honour to support a brand with such an amazing heritage.”
This is good news for the brand following their Geneva announcement that the new baby saloon will be named the Jaguar XE. The XE will be the first model to be based on a new and all-aluminum architecture. It will also have a new range of petrol and diesel four-cylinder engines.
