Autonomous Google car closer to reality

Google has always been on the cutting edge of the driverless car. Back in May, Google introduced their version of the Google fully-autonomous car that shuttled people around without any sign of a steering wheel or brake pedal.

Now, Google has shown off its latest autonomous prototype car that they're calling a representative of the final product. Inside, you will now find all the basic tools of a regular car that can be driven by the occupant with autonomous driving being an option. These additions of headlights, steering wheel, accelerator and brakes comply with new road laws in California (where it's being tested) that will now allow the autonomous car to be driven on public roads.

This new prototype version looks pretty much the same as before. It's a two-seater that stands small and circular without much flair to it. All of its focus has been paid to its driverless abilities with sensors that can detect objects up-to distances of more than two football fields in all directions.

Currently, Google is testing its new prototype on a private track in California with hopes of testing it on public roads next year.
